Hyderabad: Two girl students were allegedly sexually assaulted by two youths after being made to consume excessive alcohol at a party in Balanagar.
According to information available, the suspects, identified as Ghana and Tarun, allegedly invited the two students to a party in Balanagar. After taking them to the venue, the duo allegedly made the students consume large quantities of alcohol before sexually assaulting them.
The students reportedly fell seriously ill following the incident and were subsequently admitted to a hospital in Madhuranagar.
The incident came to light after the women approached the Madhuranagar police and lodged a complaint.
Based on their complaint, the Madhuranagar police registered a case and took up investigation.
It is learnt that the case may be transferred to Balanagar on the point of jurisdiction.
Police are probing the circumstances under which the students were taken to the party and the alleged assault.
