Mahindra BE07 will go on sale next year in India and it will have several commonalities with the BE 6; based on the INGLO platform

Latest sightings of the Mahindra BE07 in Bengaluru reveal a more production-ready exterior and a cabin closely related to the XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The camouflaged prototype looks closer to production than earlier test vehicles and reveals more of the electric SUV’s exterior. The BE07 will use Mahindra’s INGLO architecture and slot above the BE 6 in the company’s electric SUV portfolio.

Latest images show a tall five-seat SUV that retains the proportions of the 2022 BE.07 concept but uses several road-ready changes. Conventional exterior mirrors replace the concept’s camera units and cameras built into the mirrors indicate a 360-degree view system. Flush door handles, frameless doors and large aero-style alloy wheels are also visible.

At the front, sleek LED DRLs sit above vertically arranged headlamp units. Parking sensors can be seen across the bumper along with lower air intakes. The side profile uses a steeply raked windscreen, thick C-pillar and an angled rear glass section. Mahindra quoted dimensions of 4,565 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,660 mm in height for the concept backed by a 2,775 mm wheelbase and we expect most of the numbers to be retained.

On the inside, three displays stretch across the dashboard encompassing the instrument cluster, infotainment and a separate passenger screen. It will also boast an illuminated BE steering wheel logo, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and a large glass roof. It will more likely share its battery options with the BE 6 – a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh unit.

The 59 kWh version uses a 170 kW rear mounted motor while the 79 kWh version gets a 210 kW unit with maximum torque standing at 380 Nm for both. The certified MIDC range is rated at 557 km for the 59 kWh battery and 683 km for the 79 kWh battery and we expect similar numbers for the forthcoming BE07.
